1 Peter 1:13-24 - Mirroring God's Holiness

Guest speaker Jake Kopra. As elect exiles we are called to mirror God's holiness to the world around us. We do this best when humbling turning to God, away from sin that results in a deep love for one another!

1 Peter 1:1-12 - Elect Exiles

This begins a series in the book of 1 Peter with some background information on the author and audience and their identity as "elect exiles", believers throughout the world that find their identity in Christ. Because of the resurrection of Jesus, elect exiles find their identity in being a people of a living hope, an inheritance and salvation.

Ruth 4 - The Great Redeemer!

The story of Ruth is all about Redemption! A deliverance, a buying back, a restoration and rescue. In the last chapter we explore 3 stories of redemption as Boaz redeems Ruth, the son of Ruth redeems Naomi and God redeems Israel. Ruth's story is our story as well and redemption is offered to us through the death and resurrection of the Son of Ruth - Jesus Christ!

Ruth 3 - Hope of Redemption

God's sovereignty had led Ruth to a worthy man's field named Boaz. When Ruth tells her mother-in-law Naomi, she quickly comes up with a plot to "help" God's plan. Naomi would use Ruth in placing her in a vulnerable position all alone. Boaz on the other hand loved Ruth and protected, pursued and provided for her.

Ruth 2 - Characters in Crisis

A focus on the character development of three people Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. What seems to 'just so happen' is God's sovereign plan working out for the good of them all, even Naomi!

Ruth 1 - Hold On!

The book of Ruth has been a source of hope and encouragement throughout the age! It's during the dark and difficult times that the smallest light shines the brightest. In this first message we explore the book's setting, the crisis, and the resolve of the characters. In difficulties Ruth holds on to God and the covenant people. It's her identity and who she worships that informs the decisions she makes.

Psalm 138 - The Foundation and Fuel of Christian Thanksgiving

Guest speaker Mike Dahl leads us through this rich Psalm to see that Christians don't find their thanksgiving in their circumstances but in the gift of Jesus.

Matthew 28 - The Great Co-Mission

Jesus gives the final words to his disciples. He tells them their confidence comes from Jesus power and presence in their lives and their calling is to make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching and the encouragement to GO!
