1 Samuel 4 - Kingdom Glory

In this tragic chapter, we see the ark of the Lord being captured and the glory of God is no more in Israel. We spend some time thinking about what glory means as well as hear two warning to us in dealing with the glory of God.

1 Samuel 3 - Can you hear?

The boy Samuel hears the calling from the Lord in a time when the Word of the Lord was rare. He hears God's calling when others can't and responds with "Here I am." He was humble and available.

Psalm 92 - It is GOOD to give thanks to the Lord!

Guest speaker Joby Crover. Joby leads us in a look at Psalm 92 and how it is indeed Good to give thanks to the Lord. The Psalmist compares the unrighteous to the righteous one in the picture of the grass versus the palm tree.

1 Samuel 2 - Hannah's Kingdom Prayer

Several years after God answers Hannah's prayer for a child she returns to the tabernacle and prays a prayer of praise in the same place she had poured out her soul in grief. The prayer of worship comes from a personal experience with a personal God with hope of a king that would come and set things right. Hannah's prayer highlights how God looks on the lowly, humble, and hungry to raise them up and fill them!

What does it mean to belong to a worshiping community of Jesus followers here at Hollyview. Even with changing time and culture, the church is still about the main things. At Hollyview we see them as Covenant Life, Community Life, Servant Life and Missional Life!

Ezekiel 37 - Dry Bones Live! (stand alone message)

As we head into a new year, we are reminded of God's purpose for his people to have life and have it abundantly in Christ! This messages focuses on the story of the dry bones living again. We see God's means, design and purpose for bringing life!

Isaiah 9 - Hope for the future

Dean Gonnerman, one of Hollyview's elders, gives a hope filled message from the prophecies in Isaiah about the coming of Jesus. No matter the chaos and confusion in our world, God is still in control and we can live lives of hope!

Guest speaker Eric Wood brings a message on the importance of Jesus followers living a life of deep resolve for the glory of God.

Christmas 2020 - Light in the Darkness

The story of Christmas is not about the hope that the darkness will be taken away but that the light will come. The Christmas story is of the light coming often in the darkness of night!
