John 14 - Let not your hearts be troubled (Dan Abbott)

The disciples of Jesus were just about to walk through a difficult, confusing, emotional time and Jesus wants to give them areas of comfort and confidence in the darkness. Let not your hearts be troubled!

John 13 - A new commandment (Peter Hibbs)

John 12 - To see His Glory

John explains to us how he has seen the glory of God in the two pictures of Jesus from the book of Isaiah as the one lifted up entering as both conquering King and suffering servant.

John 11 - Hope beyond the grave

Jesus walks with his friends through the death and resurrection of Lazarus. He is the resurrection and the life and show us the way of love in the land of darkness. He trusts God's purpose, weeps with those who suffer, calls life out of darkness, and lays his life down for his friend!

John 10 - The Good Shepherd

Jesus wants us to know who he is and he gives us the images of a shepherd, a king and God in the flesh so that we can truly know him. Jesus is the good shepherd, the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecy found in Ezekiel of God becoming king in Jesus.

Johh 9 - Sight for the Blind (Vince Rediger)

Guest speaker Vince Rediger leads us through John 9 and the power of Jesus giving sight to the blind. Vince and his family will be moving October 2022 to Utah County to church plant with the North American Baptist.

Johh 8 - Marked by Grace

In this controversial scene, the Jewish leaders present this woman caught in adultery for Jesus to judge what they should do with her. Knowing God's word that she was supposed to be stoned to death, Jesus steps in as a substitute and through his eventual death on the cross offers her grace. He then addresses the Pharisees who are blind, in slavery and going to die in their sin unless they repent and believe in Jesus and accept him as their substitute as well. 

John 7 - Rivers of Living Water

During the great Jewish celebration of the Feast of Booths, Jesus invites anyone who is thirsty to come to him. He is the Living Water! God works at just the right time, often in unexpected ways and leads us to how God works salvation through the cross of Christ!

John 6 - Bread of Life

Jesus uses the humble offering of a small boy's lunch to satisfy a crowd of 5,000 men. The people are hungry for power and want to make Jesus king but the power of the Kingdom of God is to serve and give your life. The disciples are in a boat at night in a storm and are rowing for safety. It's only when Jesus steps in the boat in the middle of their storm that they will be satisfied. Then Jesus declared that he is the bread from heaven that will satisfy!

John 5 - Finding what you’re missing (Mike Miller)

Guest speaker Mike Miller, one of Hollyview's elders, leads us through John 5. The invalid finds healing of both body and soul through the powerful word of Jesus. He is commanded to get up, take up his bed and walk. Then Jesus shows himself to the Jews in the temple who are trying to fulfill the law but are missing seeing Jesus standing right in front of him.
