Psalm 16 - Through Ancient Gates

This introductory message demonstrates the composition and different perspectives of reading the Psalms. Much like a quilt, the book of Psalms contains the original songs of prayer and praise to the LORD written by men who lived through the struggles and triumphs of what it means to be a human. Those 150 psalms, were then stitched together in such a way as to reveal the Messiah, Jesus! Psalms is not primarily a book of humanity going to the divine but the divine coming down to humanity and Psalms is his story, the story of Jesus, the story of the Gospel! It is through the power of Jesus that we then pick up the Psalms and find them so meaningful to us!

James 5 - Living Life as Community (Mike Miller)

If you are a follower of Jesus, you are made to live life in community. Sometimes that means you fill different roles to support and encourage people as we are servants of one another.

James 4 - The Raging War Inside

There is a war raging inside of each of us. This war spills out into our lives and relationships when we refuse to humbly surrender to the Lord in the areas of our passions, our pride, and our control!

The words you say and how you say them reveal the condition of your heart. James guides us through the world of words and tells us that words are powerful, can't be tamed, reveal our hearts, and display wisdom's source. This leads into a time of communion.

Like a compass and a map, two Hebrew words that form themes through the Bible will be our guide to fear and hear! The quest to find wisdom leads us to a relationship with the Lord as we walk with him each day.

There is a way that seems right to a man but it's way leads to death! The way of foolishness demands attention, promises what it can't deliver, sits in apathy, and calls the unsuspecting!
